‘Futurama Season 8’ Takes Jabs at Crypto, Alexa, and Flat Butts
Fry, Leela, Bender, and the rest of the Planet Express Delivery crew are back for a time-traveling adventure in Futurama Season 8.
Fans have less than a month to wait till the gang is back with new episodes. Matt Groening and the creative team have promised that the new season will have something for everyone.

New fans don’t have to watch the previous ten seasons for things to make sense, and there will be pay-offs for long-time fans. There will be developments in Fry and Leela’s love story. The secret history of evil Robot Santa will be revealed, as will the mysterious contents of Nibbler’s litter box and the location of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles. The crew will also deal with a pandemic, crypto, cancel culture, and streaming services.

Futurama Season 8 Cast & Drop Date
The gang is back together. Matt Groening is back at the helm. Billy West and Katey Sagal are reprising their roles as Fry and Leela. John DiMaggio is back as Bender. Other ensemble players returning are Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, and David Herman.
The ten-episode season is set to premiere Monday, July 24, on Hulu. It will air weekly after that.
About Futurama
Futurama debuted on Fox in 1999 and quickly picked up a loyal following, as well as two primetime Emmys. Its initial run ended in 2003, it went into syndication on Cartoon Network and moved to DVD. Comedy Central ordered new seasons, and it ran on the network from 2010-2013. After a 10-year hiatus, Hulu ordered 20 new episodes early last year. Futurama Season 8 arrives this July.
The series follows Fry, a pizza delivery guy that accidentally gets cryogenically frozen. When he’s defrosted in the year 2999, Fry enters a changed world filled with new tech, aliens, strange social norms, and a killer Santa. He finds work at the Planet Express Delivery Company, founded by his descendant, Professor Hubert Farnsworth. He embarks on adventures across the galaxy with hard-drinking robot Bender, cyclops pilot Leela, accountant Hermes Conrad, intern Amy Wong, and Dr. John Zoidberg.
