ICYMI: Space Marine 2’s New Trailers Show Off Co-Op Tyranid Killing Action
What a feast of glory we have right now. Space Marine 2 might not be out until “winter” but we can savor every bite of these new trailers.
Space Marine 2 is all about the glory of the Emperor, obviously. But specifically, it’s going to be about hewing your way through the fearsome might of the Tyranid fleets. At least, that’s the impression we got from two new trailers released within as many weeks.
The first, released during Warhammer Skulls, showcased some of the features we’ll get to enjoy in the campaign. And then the second, and most exciting one, was all about co-op campaign play. Because nothing says being a Space Marine like going through a mission with your best Battle Brother.

Following Games Workshop’s Skulls Showcase earlier today, Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive are thrilled to showcase brand new glimpses of gameplay for their upcoming action-packed blockbuster Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, coming soon to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Hosted by Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun’s lead actor and Warhammer superfan Rahul Kohli, the event has given players their very first look at the Tyranid onslaught they will be facing at release. In this trailer, we see a Tyranid swarm descending upon a beleaguered Imperial world, and the Ultramarines rushing to their aid.
We get a look at the melee and ranged combat, nothing surprising, but extremely cool nevertheless. Here’s a Storm Bolter being unloaded into an oncoming swarm that has been reduced to so many particle effects and red mist textures.
But the big one. The real exciting trailer. Was the Co-Op Campaign reveal.
Just look at this. It’s so delicious. You and up to two of your friends can play through the campaign, with one player taking on the role of Captain Titus, and the others filling in the squaddies.
