MTG: One Million Dollar Bounty Offered For The One The One Ring
A Lord of the Rings crossover Magic card may yet become the most expensive Magic card in history, thanks to an impressive bounty.
The One Ring is proving to be precious indeed. And to be clear, we’re talking about Magic: the Gathering’s special “one-of-one” The One Ring card, of which there is only one. It’s a foil version of the card, with all the text written up in the language of Mordor. To say this card is rare is an understatement.
It’s entirely possible no one will ever find it. The One Ring may be destined to end up in a landfill with dozens of other boxes full of cards. Or it might end up in the hands of an overeager Pinkerton, sent to harass a wayward collector hoping to get their hands on the One Ring to rule them all.
Million Dollar Bounty For The One The One Ring
Which is why many collectors have been offering “bounties” on any who manage to find the One Ring. While all of Sauron’s will might be bent on finding it, that’s nothing compared to the power of cold hard cash. Which is what Dave & Adams, a TCG and collectible vendor, has offered up on the solitary card.
Dave & Adams has put out an offer to pay $1 million for any who turn in the card:
Today, Dave & Adam’s announced it has issued a $1 MILLION bounty for the one-of-one The One Ring card that will be in the upcoming release of Magic the Gathering The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth.
Of course, you’ll have to spend money to make money, in this case. Because The One (of One) Ring will only be available in English-language Collector Boosters, including gift bundles. Right now these are on sale at Amazon for $30+ per pack. And that’s just for the boosters. Who’s to say it isn’t in a gift bundle somewhere?
Wherever it is, there’s no denying that it’s precious… who might pay even more for it? Would YOU take the million, or try and find a Post Malone of your own?
