Atomic Mass Games has dropped some previews on the Witches of Dathomir Squad Pack. Learn what secrets Mother Talzin has — if you dare.
Star Wars: Shatterpoint has been getting a ton of support from Atomic Mass Games as more and more Squad Packs are going up for Pre-order. Today, we’re getting a look at the new squad coming soon with the Witches of Dathomir. Featuring Mother Talzin, two Nightsisters and her eldest son (and brother to Darth Maul) Savage Opress! This pack brings in some Force-sensitives with a different take on things compared to the Jedi and Sith.
“Referred to reverently within her clan as the Great Mother, Talzin is a major player on the stage of galactic conflict. She would play a major role in pivotal clashes during the Clone Wars, having complex and contentious dealings with individuals such as Count Dooku and Darth Sidious. She is the mother of Darth Maul and feels particular hatred for those who stole him from her in an attempt to control his destiny. She takes any perceived slights on her clan quite seriously, going to great lengths to seek revenge. This matriarch has proven she does not fear either Sith or Jedi. Mother Talzin has tremendous control over the Force, shaping its energies by the strange methods known only to her coven. Darkness answers her call, and amid the Obscuring Shadows that surround her, it can be difficult to predict the movements of her clan. By her Manipulating Hand she can even play tricks on the mind of an enemy, controlling their movements to place them where it best suits her own plans. “
Mother Talzin offers a lot of built in movement manipulation with her core abilities. You can use those to position your own forces or even disrupt the enemies plans. Depending on which stance you choose you can also give yourself some more options either with stronger melee abilities or more ranged attack power with some additional support actions.
The Nightsisters are going to pair nicely with Mother Talzin as they already have a lot of built-in maneuverability. While they aren’t slouches in close combat they excel at ranged combat with their bows.
The Shadow Hunters stance really amps up their potential as it pairs very well with their Night Hunter innate abilities. They make for excellent support for your melee elements.
