Recreate the iconic T. Rex escape and more iconic scenes with these 30th Anniversary Jurassic Park LEGO sets.

This week marks the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park–making now a perfect time to revisit the original. LEGO has added several new sets that will let you build some of the movie’s most iconic scenes.

The first time we see the T. Rex in all of her hungry glory is one of the most memorable scenes in cinema. I remember seeing the giant predator for the first time on a big screen. The mix of CG, animatronics, and sound effects was absolutely terrifying. That T.Rex was real–no one could convince me otherwise.

T. Rex Breakout

This 1,212-piece set is a great build for fans. At twenty-three inches wide it’s a great showpiece for any collection. The set comes with a terrifying posable T. Rex, two Ford Explorers (one turned upside down by the giant carnivore), and the broken electric fence.

The main characters in the scene in minifig form are included – Alan Grant, Ian Malcolm, Tim Murphy, and Lex Murphy. You’ll have to rustle up your own Donald Gennaro minifig.

There’s also a ton of accessories to help build the scene. Buildable night-vision goggles, a flashlight, CD-ROM touch-screen monitor, goat chain and T. rex footprints, ‘electric’ fence, plus 2 water glasses and a flare.

Brachiosaurus Discovery

While the massive carnivore made the biggest impression, the Brachiosaurus was the first dinosaur audiences saw in Jurassic Park. This set features a poseable Brachiosaurus and a tree for it to eat from. Plus Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, and John Hammond minifigs with one of the coveted gas-powered Jeep Wranglers on the island.

Something’s not quite right with this dino–or any of the cloned inhabitants of Isla Nublar. This set comes with a posable Triceratops, along with Ian Malcolm and Dr. Ellie Sattler minifigs. And a shovel element to scoop the hidden toxic berry element from the buildable dinosaur poop.
