Warhammer 40K: 5 Most Unique Daemon Weapons
Calling all Loot Goblins — If Daemon Weapons were unique drops in a video game these would be the ones you’d want to snag.
For some odd reason I’ve got looting weapons on the brain. Maybe it was a fever dream after a long gaming session and then reading the Indexes for Chaos but I got to thinking about all the Daemon Weapons in Warhammer 40,000. “What if these unique weapons were loot drops? Which ones would I want to get?” And now here we are! So here’s 5 Daemon Weapons that I’d want to get if they were weapon drops in video games.
This Daemon Weapon is wielded by Angron (hey, I didn’t say getting the weapons would be easy). It’s named after the Slaaneshi Daemon that’s bound within it.

The Daemon operated a network of gladiatorial arenas wherein it tortured and butchered foes for millennia while delighting in smashing the most skilled warrior-slaves. Samni’arius boasted that no warrior could best it, something that enraged Angron. Armed with nothing but a bar of iron, Angron bludgeoned Samni’arius to death. After the daemon’s death, the iron warped in Angron’s hand and transformed into a monstrous blade with Samni’arius bound inside.
So basically Angron beat this daemon with an iron bar so hard that it basically forged the blade from the beatdown. That is extremely brutal!
This Daemon weapon is currently kept in check by the Grey Knight Castellan Crowe. It constantly taunts him to unleash it’s true power so that he can be an unstoppable swordsman. The good news for Crowe is that he’s already a pretty good swordsman so he hasn’t fallen to that temptation yet. But I know I’m not the only one wondering what sort of power is locked in this blade. It’s gotta be something crazy because it’s “too dangerous to stay on Titan.” That’s saying something!
These twin daemonic axes are wielded by the Bloodthirster Skarbrand. What’s crazy about them is that they each contain the enslaved spirits of a Bloodthirster. So basically, it’s a Bloodthirster wielding a pair of Bloodthirster-infused axes. This entry isn’t only a two-fer, it’s also one of the most metal things in all of 40k.
We did say “Unique” Daemon Weapons, right? Well the Lash of Torment is really unique in that it’s a whip! There’s not a whole lot of these floating around in terms of Daemon Weapons.
While roaming the dreamscape of the Daemon world Moerpho, Lucius tracked down and killed a trio of Fiends of Slaanesh. Before their corpses faded into nothingness, he tore out the long and supple tongues of the daemonic beasts and fused them to his grip with a ritual of binding. From these loathsome organs, Lucius has fashioned a whip that writhes with a sentience of its own, ensnaring his foes and rasping their flesh from their bones as Lucius goes about his bloody work.
It’s not only unique, it’s also gross…which 100% fits in with a Daemon Weapon if you ask us.
#1 Drach’nyen, the End of Empires
Of course we had to include this weapon. It’s Abaddon’s own Daemon Weapon and it can appear in many forms. The weapon has a few titles, too. There’s a few theories and stories about it to match. Some tales even go back the very first murder in the history of mankind — this weapon get’s biblical!
Drach’nyen was born at the moment of the first murder – the first time a human killed another human outside of the need to survive. The name Drach’nyen, which can be translated as the End of Empires, is an approximation of the scream of the first murderer and that of the brother he murdered.
Again, if this was a video game Drach’nyen would be the final weapon that dropped from the big boss. It’s like an evil version of the Master Sword. Or something far worse. It’s even managed to make the Emperor bleed…and no one makes him bleed his own blood!
