As good as they are, the Space Marines can’t hold back the entire tide of Tyranid swarms, Chaos-worshipping traitors, and other alien hordes on their own – they need reinforcements. The new edition of Warhammer 40,000 is here, and the armoured might of the Imperium has mustered.

All of these Indexes are out and free to check out right now. All we need is to get the points (which are coming soon) and we’re good to go! The Core Rules are out now so be sure to download those and get familiar with them.

We’re not going to pretend that this isn’t a massive amount of datasheets to chew on. And, unlike the Space Marines, these are all completely different armies that don’t really share a “core” Index. The exception might be the Imperial Agents who act more like a “bolt-on” option for Imperial Armies but even they can be used as a single faction.

And while we’re talking about “other army bolt-on” options, the Imperial Knights do have the option to be slotted into another Imperial Army regardless of points restrictions — it uses a model/unit restriction limit instead.

The Imperium of man is looking to come out of the gate swinging with this batch of Indexes. If you play any of these armies be sure to sound off in the comments with your excitement/displeasure at your Indexes.

Hammer or Anvil. It doesn’t matter what you call them — you just don’t want to be caught in the middle!
