Warhammer 40K: ‘Leviathan’ Pre-orders This Weekend Have Special Bonuses
Depending on where you get your pre-order for Leviathan you’ll get some extra bonuses — while supplies last!
Games Workshop is putting the new Warhammer 40,000 Leviathan boxed set up for pre-order this weekend. It does look like it’s going to be a two-week window for these pre-orders. They are also adding in some extra bonuses depending on where you pre-order from either GW’s webstore, your local Warhammer Store, or even your independent stockists (aka your FLGS).
“There are plenty of places to get hold of it: the Games Workshop webstore, your local Warhammer branch, or a friendly local games store. As an extra treat, each of these options comes with a different exclusive bonus – which are all available while stocks last.”
Leviathan Pre-order Bonuses
If you order from the Games Workshop webstore you’ll get two double-sided game boards. That will give you a play area of the standard Combat Patrol game of 30″ x 44″ which is nice because there are two Combat Patrols in the box. Coincidence? We don’t think so.
Being double-sided means you can choose the boards that best match the theme you’re going for. This is a nice bonus for anyone that doesn’t have a board/tabletop they already play on.
If you order from your local Warhammer Store there’s a sweet Leviathan-themed tin up for grabs with some nice acrylic tokens.
“That’s six 40mm round objective markers for use with the new missions, 12 blue battle-shock tokens for keeping track of this new rule, and 20 wound tokens in denominations of 10 tokens representing one wound, six representing three wounds, four representing five wounds.”
To score these you’ll need to ask the staff how to get your hands on them. Again, it’s worth mentioning these are only available while stocks last. Personally, I really like this set and they are quite tempting to go after. This might be my favorite of the batch.
And finally we have the Independent Warhammer Stockist bonuses. The stores will have one of two options available either a neoprene dice tray or a set of 28 double-sided deployment zone markers.
These are neat bonuses for the stores and I’m glad they are getting something unique to give out with Pre-orders.
Also you’re going to want to be aware of the launch times because pre-orders are going to be metered out:
“Remember, copies of Leviathan will be limited per person on the Games Workshop webstore, and there will be a queueing system in place.”
