‘Gen V’: ‘The Boys’ Spinoff Doubles Down on the Gore in New Trailer
The Boys spin-off about supe college may outdo the original when it comes to bloodshed. Check out the new Gen V trailer.
This is like no college you’ve ever seen–young supes attend Godolkin University to prepare them for the Vought pipeline and possible membership in The Seven. Don’t expect a cookie cutter of the original. The spin-off might be more bloody than the flagship show and will have its own twist, according to The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke:
“Much like Mork & Mindy spun-off from Happy Days—which is an insane and true fact—our spinoff will exist in the Vought Cinematic Universe, yet have a tone and style all its own. It’s our take on a college show, with an ensemble of fascinating, complicated, and sometimes deadly Young Supes. [Showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters] are stone-cold geniuses. We love this show and can’t wait for you to see it.”

It’s definitely bloody.
I’d like to take this moment to remind you this series has puppets. You’re welcome.
Gen V Cast & Details
The new generation of supes includes Patrick Schwarzenegger as Golden Boy and Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity. The rest of the cast hasn’t been linked to characters. Those folks include Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, and Maddie Phillips. Plus London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and Shelley Conn.
Set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International), Gen V is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games—with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.
Gen V hits Prime Video on September 29th.
