Legions Imperialis: Three New Tanks Take The Field
Games Workshop has announced three more tanks coming to Legions Imperialis and they are probably exactly what you expected!
We’ve been asking for a few more vehicle announcements for Legions Imperialis and today Games Workshop delivered. Get ready to mount up and get to the action with three more tanks coming to the epic scale tabletop!
We’ve already seen the tanks we’re getting in the big old Legions Imperialis core box – including Predators, Sicarans, Leman Russ, and Malcadors – but this impressive collection barely scratches the surface of the beautiful breadth of armoured tread coming to the game. So here are a few more that will be released alongside or shortly after the core box.
Three Legions Imperialis Tanks
Kratos Heavy Tank
One of the biggest and baddest tanks available to the Space Marine Legions is coming. The Kratos Heavy Tank has been spotted and it will come in detachments of up to six! Get ready to load the battlecannons, melta blastguns, sponsons and hull-mounted weapons because this one is bringing the BOOM! And if you want a little extra there’s also a dozer blade option for fun.
The Baneblade
Another iconic tank is coming to the Solar Auxilia in the form of the Baneblade! Also coming in detachments of up to six the Baneblade will load up it’s own set of turrets and hull-mounted weapons to bring to bear! It’s very fitting that this super-heavy is joining the ranks of the Solar Auxilia in Legions Imperialis. Now I’m wondering if we’re going to see some variant options for it as well…
The Deimos-Pattern Rhino
And of course we have the Deimos-Pattern Rhino announced! This was my personal pick for the game as I wasn’t quite sure how all those stands of Space Marines were supposed to traverse a battlefield with Titans stomping around. At least these tanks will be able to shuttle them up the field for a bit…even if they are probably going to get cracked apart (relatively) easily.
“…a stone-cold classic armoured transport makes its glorious return in the form of the Deimos-Pattern Rhino. And because everything’s just that little bit wilder in Legions Imperialis, this pack of 10 comes with plenty of cupola options, including havoc missile launchers, multi-meltas, twin-linked bolters, dozer blades, and even a hunter-killer missile.”
I’m pleased to see the various options on the Rhinos as well. Also…they are so cute — Send in the tiny Rhinos!
Legions Imperialis is coming soon. I can’t wait to see these EPIC armies take the tabletop!
