Take the Exam With This ‘Hunter x Hunter’ Hisoka Morrow Cosplay
Hunter x Hunter’s infamous clown themed character has a fun look and an attitude you immediately know better than to mess with.
Hunter x Hunter is hugely popular in the anime community, but a little notorious for its long breaks. Written by Yoshihiro Togashi (Yu Yu Hakusho), health concerns have come between the manga artist and completing the story for years on end. But as a testament to just how beloved Togashi and Hunter x Hunter are, peoples’ love for the series has never slowed down.
There are a lot of well-known characters in Hunter x Hunter, and even for non-fans of the show, each is easily recognizable. But this week we’re taking a look at one of the once-antagonist now-supporting-character, Hisoka Morrow. Hunter x Hunter’s iconic clown aestheticised character is one of the fandom’s favorites. Is that because of his over-the-top personality? His very unique look and style? Maybe it’s just that we all love the enemies-to-friends trope. Maybe it’s all of those things. But no matter what the reason, it’s just a fact that Hisoka sure is popular.
Cosplayer Kaori Leit makes Hisoka real with their cosplay. They’ve nailed all of the small details from Hisoka’s long nails to their makeup and the 3D aspects of his costume. But maybe most impressively, they have that slightly creepy vibe of a character I wouldn’t ever make the mistake of messing with perfected.
