Warhammer 40K Next Week – Starter Sets, Core Rules, And A New Librarian
Warhammer 40K 10th Edition is in full swing with this week’s pre-orders. You’ll find starter sets, a core rulebook, and a host of new minis.
Are you looking to get started with 40K 10th Edition? Or hoping to get someone into the game so you finally have someone to crush with those Drukhari you’ve been hanging onto since the days when they were Dark Eldar?
Then next weekend’s pre-order releases are for you. Because alongside a compact new core rulebook, a number of new starter sets are releasing. Whether you want a big army or just a small set to supplement your forces there’s something for just about everyone here. As long as you want Marines or ‘Nids.
Warhammer 40K: 10th Edition Rules, Starters, And More
Games Workshop has a variety of starter sets, depending on how deep you want to dive into the game. You can take the ultimate plunge with the Ultimate Starter Set, pictured above. This box contains two full Combat Patrols, one for Space Marines, one for Tyranids.
You’ll get five Infernus Marines, five Terminators, and both a Captain and Librarian in Terminator Armor. Or if you prefer your armies buggier, you’ll get twenty Termagants, a Ripper Swarm, five Barbgaunts three Von Ryan’s Leapers, a Psychophage, and a Winged Tyranid Prime all to throw down with.
Alongside that an STC Hab Bunker and eight stockade sets as well as two double-sided gaming boards. And of course, the rules, dice, tokens, a range ruler, and so on.
The not-ultimate Starter Set comes with slightly less—no terrain, Barbgaunts, or Librarian, but is another way to dive right in.
Or you could pick up the Introductory Set and get started with just five Infernus Marines, ten Termagants, and a Ripper Swarm plus clippers and paints.
Or you could get started with a paint-focused kit, like the three Infernus Marines + six paint set, consisting of Corax White, Macragge Blue, Balthasar Gold, Abaddon Black, Agrax Earthshade, and Armageddon Dust.
Or the three Termagants + six paint set, consisting of Corax White, Wraithbone, Naggaroth Night, Thunderhawk Blue, Magos Purple, and Armageddon Dust.
And next weekend, both the Librarian in Terminator Armor and the Barbgaunts will be available separately, so you can grab as many as you need without having to pick up the Ultimate Starter Set.
All this, plus a new compact hardback book containing all the core rules. It has all 64 pages of the core rules (and nothing else) which you can also download for free. But if you want a physical copy, here you go.
All this, next week!
