With all of us looking forward to a new Star Wars show, here are five things we really want to see in Ahsoka.

Star Wars: Ahsoka comes out next week. Despite a few lackluster Star Wars shows, we are all pretty hyped about the return of Snips. The new show has a ton going for it. It also has very high expectations.

Do we Want to See Sabine-Jedi?

The trailers make it pretty clear that at some point Ahsoka Tano started to train Sabine Wren. Now it’s not 100% clear if Sabine is Force-sensitive. Moreover, Ahsoka is not a Jedi, as she’s said plenty of times.  Still, this is just such a cool idea we want to see more of it. Sabine is a rad character and the dynamic between her and Ahsoka has a ton of potential. This is something we really want to see more of in Star Wars: Ahsoka.

The E-Wing

The E-Wing is a fan-favorite ship from the old Expanded Universe days of Star Wars. It was made non-cannon with the rest of the EU but lived on in our hearts. However, it appears that it’s coming back into mainline Star Wars in Ahsoka. Hopefully, it won’t just be a random cameo and will really get a lot of good screen time.

Gilad Pellaeon

Gilad Pelleaon grew from a relatively minor side character to become one of the pillars of the old EU. In many ways, he represented the best of what the Empire could have been. Reactionary at times and old fashioned, but also honorable and truly dedicated to order and serving people. He was a complex character at times. In the EU he was often defined by his relationship/partnership with Thrawn. This was despite the fact that he outlived Thrawn by decades and had a long career after him.

Pelleaon, like so much else vanished with the rest of the EU and Disney brought back Thrawn, Pelleaon was nowhere to be seen. However, that has changed. After a brief mention in Rebels Pelleaon was finally seen on screen in The Mandalorian. Since he is confirmed to be working with Thrwan this is something we really want to see more of in Star Wars: Ahsoka.

We Want to See the Interwar Years

So far the bulk of what happened between Episodes 6 and 7 remains a mystery. While some has been covered in books and other sources very little has been put on screen. There’s never been a really good idea of any kind of stories that happened in that period. The shows we have seen, Mando and BoBF, have mainly focused on the fringes of things and side cultures. Ahsoka promises us something with a little more scale. The threat of a new war and some actual involvement and action by the New Republic. It’s exciting to get the chance to see some of these things flesh out.

Grand Admiral Thrawn

Thrawn is popular the most popular and important Star Wars character to not have ever shown up in live-action. Likely the only one who could compete is Mara Jade, and though she shares an origin with Thrawn she’s sadly not cannon. Yet. I think just about everyone is looking forward to seeing Thrawn in live-action and seeing what he gets up to. This man has cast a huge shadow, and we can’t wait to see what happens to him.
