Games Workshop has new Organized Play kits for local stores to use once again. You could win some cool stuff just for playing!

The new edition of Warhammer 40,000 is out and about and with that also comes a new update for Organized Play from Games Workshop. Your local store can order these kits and run an even and participants will be able to score some nice swag!

“Organised Play is an excellent way of getting your local gaming group or Warhammer 40,000 community involved, with two different ways to play. The pack can be used to run tournaments of Combat Patrol games, or larger Strike Force games with the Leviathan Tournament Companion.

It’s a great way to meet like-minded players and have a great time playing Warhammer 40,000. The free swag, fancy trophy, and other exclusive goodies are just a bonus!”

The kit itself comes with everything a store would need to run a one-day tournament for up to 32 players! There’s a Core Stratagem deck for each play provided as well — so everyone gets a little something to take home. However, the real prizes are certificates for various awards, and a fancy glass “Store Champion” trophy!

Additionally, there’s also 32 art cards and 32 transfer sheets that have new decals for Space Marines and Tyranids. So again, lots of swag to give out for anyone who’s playing.

There’s even more exciting news about these kits. It’s not just local stores that will have access to these kits. It’s also the official Warhammer stores, too! If you’re lucky enough to have one nearby it’s worth popping in and asking how they plan on using their copy…

If you’re wondering which stores are participating there’s a handy list you can use to find a store close to you. Again, these OP kits are designed for one-day tournaments and support up to 32 players! Additionally, the stores can use them for Leviathan Tournaments or Combat Patrol Tournaments. Personally, I think Combat Patrol sounds like a real challenge and I hope that particular format really takes off!
