Warhammer Next Week: Space Marines In Phobos Armor, Kill Teams In Small Spaces
Fast moving Space Marines in Phobos Armor come crashing in at the forefront of this week’s pre-orders. Check ’em out!
Stealth and Space Marines are a curious combo. You wouldn’t expect a genetic transhuman clad in penetrable powerarmor to be able to get the drop on basically anyone. And yet. And yet here we are with this week’s pre-orders, which primarily consist of Primaris prowlers and other Phobos-armed Marines ready to get the drop on inattentive enemies.
The Vanguard Task Force sees the return of Primaris Infiltrators and Eliminators. Will Phobos Marines e a thing this time around? I leave that to Abe to figure out. But the new Vanguard Force is just the first wave. You’ll also find a ton of Kill Teams ready to fight on the cramped corridors of the Gallowdark, and the new book for the season.
Phobos Marines And Indomitus Captains
First up we have the Vanguard Task Force. This box set is equipped with Space Marines adept at showing up in places where you’d least expect them to be. In the kit you’ll get ten Infiltrators, alongside three Suppressors and Eliminators each, and a Lieutenant in Phobos Armor. Because there must alwasys be a Lieutenant.
Alongside the Vanguard Task Force, the Captain and Lieutenant with relic and storm shield, respectively, from the Indomitus box set are available on their own. Supplement your troops with these two leaders and their complement of abilities.
Of course, if you prefer your Marines a little spikier, the Master of Possession from what feels like literal eons ago now, is available by his lonesome self.
Kill Team – Season of the Gallowdark
Next weekend also sees the close-quarters confines of the Gallowdark and its accompanying Kill Team options unleashed in a big way. Starting with the 2023 Kill Team Annual: Season of the Gallowdark
Kill Team Annual 2023 – Season of the Gallowdark includes all of the rules from the Into the Dark, Shadowvaults, Soulshackle, and Gallowfall expansions, with 10 full kill teams, 45 missions, five Killzone terrain expansions, and a gripping Spec Ops campaign to play through.
And in order to fight in those closely-packed corridors, a number of Kill Teams available on their own. Starting with the Fellgor Ravagers.
And the Hand of the Archon.
The Hearthkyn Salvagers and their squat frames might find the Gallowdark more comfortable.
Round all that out with the Inquisitorial Agents and you’ve got almost everything you need to play some ship-board Kill Team.
