Warhammer: Video Games – Trailers, Release Dates, And Updates
Gamescon 2023 showcased a bunch of Warhammer Video Games coming soon. It’s time to hit all the highlights from the top titles!
Games Workshop seems a lot more keen to lend their IP out to video games and there’s a TON of awesome looking games coming soon. Plus, some existing games are getting some brand new updates, too. We are not going to be lacking in games to play anytime soon!
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
We already talked about some first previews that were hitting the media circuit and things were looking very promising. This video showcases some more actual gameplay and yeah…I’m here for this one. The campaign is singleplayer but also has the option to play the entire thing with up to three player co-op. I’m hoping it’s a similar drop-in, drop-out experience as Space Marine 1 had. Again, it really seems like Saber Interactive took notes from Space Marine 1 and said “yeah, let’s do all the good things and make them better.” Seems like a real solid plan to me!
Warhammer: Age of Sigmar – Realms of Ruin
Realms of Ruin has a new pre-order trailer out as well. Not only does this show off more gameplay of the upcoming RTS title but we also get a look at the third faction coming to the game: Nighthaunt!
On top of that exciting news we also learned the release date is officially November 17, 2023. It’s also going to be launching for PC, PlayStation 6, and Xbox Series X|S so be prepared for a multi-platform launch. Infact, we’ve also been told that on top of the single-player campaign there will be 1v1 and 2v2 cross-platform competitive multiplayer!
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
Fatshark is back with another Darktide update. While the game didn’t quite land how we wanted the studio has been constantly working on improvements to the core experience. Now we know that the game is getting another major update as well as a port over to Xbox Series X|S on October 4, 2023.
The update is bringing changes to the game’s core four classes with a rework on the talent trees for each. Basically, players will be able to spend talent points a bit more freely to truly customize your build. I’m looking forward to this change! If you picked the game up on PC and haven’t touched it in a while mark your calendars for October 4th and pop on to experience theses changes and all the other improvements Fatshark has made to the game since launch.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2
And the final bit of news coming out of Gamescon 2023 is that the Warhammer: Vermintide 2 – Necromancer update is finally coming! This update is slated to drop on October 19, 2023! So if you’ve been a dedicated Vermintide II player all this time then your loyalty is about to be rewarded. There are also some updates to this year’s in-game events, additional missions, new ways to play, and more content to come.
What video games are you looking forward to from all these Warhammer titles?
