We’ve gotten art teasers and now a scatter terrain set. Games Workshop, just create the full void-ship terrain set now!

If you’ve been paying attention to the lore coming from Warcry then you know that the majority of the fighting is going on in the Ravening Ruin. This area is where a Seraphon void-ship*, the Eye of Chotec, has crashed. We’ve gotten teasers of what the ship’s crash site looked liked, too:

We’ve also gotten other glimpses of what these ships look like from the background of various other pieces of artwork:

Today, we’ve gotten a look at the newest entry to this growing branch of the lore with some scatter terrain for Warcry:

Savage Lands: Scales of Talaxis is a brand new terrain set for Warcry, featuring 17 pieces of terrain including more bestial Ghurish flora and jade ruins shaken loose from the Eye of Chotec, a brand new double-sided game board with a swampy theme, scenery cards that provide 12 suggested layouts, and a Warcry token set.”

Obviously, these terrain chunks are supposed to be parts of the ship that were broken off — either from the damage that caused the crash or during the crash itself. But it’s enough to get a broader idea of what the details on the void-ship could look like.

As Warcry continues to press into the Ravenous Ruins I hope we get more and more terrain sets like this new one. I don’t think we’re ever going to get a complete “void-ship” set of terrain unfortunately. However, I think we could get enough “connecting” kits to really fill out a board and have it tell the story of a crashed Seraphon void-ship! That I think is very possible based on the how the previous Warcry terrain and boxed sets all worked together in the same way. Heck, look at Kill Team and the Gallowdark terrain sets —  multiple themed terrain is totally a thing GW does!

Personally, I really enjoy having cool looking terrain to fight over. And if the entire board has a cool theme and it’s own story to tell, even better. So here’s hoping that one day we get a full Seraphon void-ship set! Or at least enough scatter terrain to really make a full board…

Based on the artwork what would you envision as part of a void-ship terrain set?

*”void-ship” and “voidship” are used in various WarCom articles to describe the Seraphon vessel. Void-ship was used first so we went with that version but both are correct.
