Dragon’s Dogma 2 Gameplay Showcase – Arisen Action In An RPG World Full Of Monsters
Dragons’ Dogma 2 is coming – and much sooner than you might expect. Check out this in-depth gameplay showcase.
Dragon’s Dogma is one of those games that has kept going at about the same pace as Skyrim, except without needing a rerelease every five or so years to remind everyone how great it is. With its robust character creator, its RPG class systems, and a beautiful shareable NPC system where you can recruit other players’ companions as Pawns to assist you, it’s one of the best “open world” games out there.
It lives and breathes in a way few other games do. Better people than I have talked about why it’s so good. So when Capcom unveiled a brand new gameplay showcase for Dragon’s Dogma 2 earlier today, we were excited and salivating throughout the whole 9ish minute showcase. The new game looks even better than ever. Get ready, Arisen.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 – Gameplay Showcase
Game Director Hideaki Itsuno shares around 9 minutes of new gameplay and details from Dragon’s Dogma 2 at Tokyo Game Show 2023. Learn about the game’s vocations, world, and more from the highly anticipated fantasy action-RPG, now in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
Dragon’s Dogma is a single player, narrative driven action-RPG that challenges the players to choose their own experience – from the appearance of their Arisen, their vocation, their party, how to approach different situations and more.
On your journey, you’ll be joined by pawns, mysterious otherworldly beings, in an adventure so unique you will feel as if accompanied by other players while on your own adventure.
Ugh, this looks so good. Whether it’s the Thief climbing all over enemy monsters, or the sheer variety of environmental attacks that you can break out, there’s a lot to love. At one point in the video, the PC hurls an explosive barrel at a cliff spouting water, unleashing a flood that sweeps away the giant enemy they’d been fighting.
Another encounter sees the giant trapped falling across a ravine, serving as a bridge for the player character. And you can expect even more moments like this.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 has no release date yet, but more will be on display soon!
