Expand your Mario Bros. collection and dive into nostalgia with this new, brick-built LEGO Piranha Plant.

The dangerous, sentient plant has been part of the Mario Bros. franchise from the beginning. Inspired by the Venus flytrap and other carnivorous plants, they aim to eat anything that comes near. The plant has gone through multiple changes over the years to make it more of a challenge, and there are several that have gained character status, like the adorably dangerous Dino Piranha.

This new LEGO set is inspired by the plant’s classic appearance – popping out of a green pipe to eat an unfortunate plumber.

LEGO Super Mario Piranha Plant

This set recreates the classic baddie from the Super Mario Bros. games. Once built, it has all the distinctive features of a Piranha Plant. You can pose its head, mouth, stalk, and leaves. Display it in the included buildable green pipe.

At under a foot tall, it’s a perfect size to display on a bookshelf or the toy shelf in your cubicle at work or home office. It looks like you might be able to place the LEGO Mario figure in its mouth. Maybe…

Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block

This block has some secrets inside. It opens to reveal four mini-builds of levels from the game– Peach’s Castle; Bob-omb Battlefield; Cool, Cool Mountain; and Lethal Lava Trouble. The set also includes microfigs of the game’s classic characters, and it can interact with Lego Mario and Luigi figures from the 71360/71387 Starter Courses.

The Mighty Bowser

This buildable Mighty Bowser figure has his trademark spiked shell and a fireball launcher. There’s a button that controls his head and neck movements, and his arms and fingers move. He stands on a brick-built platform that has a hidden POW Block and an Action Tag, and two towers. You can combine him with any Super Mario Starter Course for battles with LEGO Mario, LEGO Luigi, or LEGO Peach.

TIE Bomber

The brick NES has a ton of realistic details – it has a working slot for the game cartridge, cables that plug into the console, and buttons. The coolest part is the companion TV that has a scrolling screen controlled by a battery-free hand crank and a Mario avatar that jumps over obstacles; it has movable knobs and connection points for the NES to plug into. The set also includes an illustrated booklet about the creation of the NES and classic NES games
