Looking to add more Plane to your Scape? WotC’s Adventure Atlas: The Mortuary might be exactly what you’re looking for.

Alongside the newly released Planescape: Adventures in the Multiverse, came a supplemental digital splatbook for D&D Beyond that adds a ton of interesting maps, monsters, and more. This new supplement focuses entirely on Sigil’s infamous Mortuary, and comes with tools enough to create adventures for characters from levels 1-16.

And it ties into any campaign, whether you’re playing with Planescape or not. It’s not a free supplement, but the Adventure Atlas does feature a ton of ready-to-play stuff you can run with. Is this what the future of D&D’s monetization looks like? It’s hard to say. But the maps are optimized and ready to play with D&D Beyond’s new Maps tools and the Encounter builder. So we’re starting to see the D&D Beyond ecosystem come online regardless.

Even so, Adventure Atlas: The Mortuary has some positively metal monsters. See for yourself if you’re interested in the tools it has to offer!

It sounds like these are some of the tools that we wish were included in the boxed set. And it’s hard not to feel like WotC executives are trying to pull something here. But the designers have clearly put in a lot of hard work on this Atlas.

This creepy location can fit into any game and be explored in any campaign! Explore the Mortuary, the otherworldly and infamous home of the mysterious Heralds of Dust. Discover new lore, fierce monsters, dangerous encounters and detailed maps to give Dungeon Masters everything they need to weave their own stories:

  • Add 3 new monsters that are usable in D&D Beyond DM tools like Maps & Encounters
  • Unlock 5 new maps optimized for the Maps tool
  • 4 climatic encounters for player levels 3-11
  • Droppable location for any adventures or campaign
  • Detailed lore, faction information & locations within the Mortuary

This purchase unlocks the contents of this adventure for use with D&D Beyond, including the book in digital format in the game compendium and access options from the book in the searchable listings, Encounters tool, Maps tool, and digital character sheet.
