Games Workshop Rumor Engine: One Sharp Icon
The Rumor Engine is looking sharp. It’s classy and also looks like it could cut an unfortunate target. Don’t get stuck on the pointy-ends!
It’s another Tuesday which means it’s time for a brand new Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. Today’s image is rather spikey and sharp. But don’t take my word for it! Have a look for yourself:
One Sharp Icon
So what are we looking at? Well this looks a lot like a unit Standard or Icon to me. The question is what unit or army would have such an Icon? Based on this design I think we’re looking at something from the Daughters of Khaine:
I’m not entirely sure which Witch Cult it could be tied to, this Icon looks right at home in their style:
It kind of reminds me of Morathi in some ways with the wings and “crown” that looks as dangerous as the snakes on her head.
Alternatively, it could be associated with the Idoneth Deepkin, too. They have some pretty pointy Icons in their units as well:
That said this is from a brand new kit that hasn’t been released yet (which is pretty typical from GW). And this image could be a year or more from a release, too. What does that mean? Well, this could be from a completely new army! Who know what it could actually turn out to be (besides GW). That’s where you come in. If you’ve got any theories drop them in the comments.
Whatever this one turns out to be it looks quite dangerous. I wonder who would carry such an Icon into battle — and what types of units would follow behind it!
If it is from the Daughters of Khaine perhaps they are getting a new unit to carry this into battle…
