Games Workshop Rumor Engine: ‘Protip: Spear Tip’
Games Workshop has a new Rumor Engine out and it looks like we’ve got a very enchanted spear on the way.
It’s another Tuesday and that means it’s Rumor Engine time! This one is definitely a spear. That much has even been confirmed by GW already. But before we got all in on that “what ifs” you should probably have a look for yourself.
Protip: Spear Tip
We’ve got a spear! Again this was confirmed already be GW and they also guaranteed it would be revealed before 2063, too! So at least we’ve got a timeframe for this one.
“A spear with tendrils of magical smoke drifting off it? Seems fine… “
That description does a pretty good job of reporting what the image is here. However, there’s still more we can learn. For instance, that spear is giving me some major Chaos vibes…
It reminds me of the various chaos weapons that the Varanguard from the Slaves to Darkness faction in Age of Sigmar.
The big difference here is that it’s got those plumes of smoke coming out of what looks like a chaos star symbol. Ominous for sure! Now, this weapon might be for AoS or it could be some other chaos relic for 40k. That’s one option I wouldn’t forget about.
Either way, I think that Chaos (as a faction) in AoS has been relatively quiet in the current lore Dawnbringers series so far. We’ve only have a Nurgle release and that’s about it. So I wouldn’t be shocked if any of the other chaos factions got some attention soon. And it’s a guarantee that this will be revealed sometime in the next 40 years so at least we won’t have to wait forever!
