Horus Heresy: Legions Imperialis – Spartan Assault Tanks Comes To Epic Scale
Games Workshop has once again fired up the shirk rays because the Spartan Assault Tank is heading to Legions Imperialis!
The Legionaries of the Adeptus Astartes are going to ride in style with the arrival of the Spartan Assault Tank in Legions Imperialis. This variant of the Land Raider adds another option to the roster and also adds in some extra firepower to match. Also, it’s just so darn cute when it’s so tiny!
“The Spartan Assault Tank is one of the Legiones Astartes’ most robust and dangerous transports. Equipped to carry a hefty load of Terminators or Legionaries, it’s also armed with two sets of quad-linked lascannon or laser destroyer arrays that can sunder armour with ease making it a multidisciplinary powerhouse.”

Unlike these tiny tanks, we don’t have a ton of details about this release yet. We’ve only got what you see here. What we do know is that the box will come with four of these miniatures inside and you’ll be able to build the various weapon loadouts above.
These Spartans make excellent transport options for your heavier assault units like Terminators and they really go well together. Along with the Rhino options also coming Legion Imperialis players should have lots of options to roll out with when the time comes.
We’re still keeping our fingers crossed for a update on the release of this one — hopefully it’s coming soon! I’m looking forward to the combined arms battles that Legions Imperialis will provide. That’s also another reason I’m glad to see the Spartan coming to the game. Multi-role units are going to be super important when it comes to winning games!
I don’t know about you, but I’m using this time to prep some extra kits from Adeptus Titanicus — terrain and buildings in particular. I can’t wait to get an army built for this one and those Spartans are going to be included for sure!
