Warhammer Day: Old World Bretonnians Preview
Games Workshop has blown the covers off the Bretonnian releases coming to the Old World. It’s time to go Knight-Knight!
We were promised juicy Old World reveals. Did GW live up to the promises? If you are a fan of Bretonnia in the Old World they probably did! Why? Because they basically showed off the entire re-launched line that’s coming with the launch of the Old World. Additionally, they also announced you can expect the Old World to launch in early 2024! Exciting times ahead.
Now, let’s get into the releases.
Duke on Royal Pegasus
This Royal Pegasus kit is going to be doing a lot of the heavy lifting. It’s got multiple variants you can build and you’ll probably want at least two in your army.
Baron on Royal Pegasus
More of a Generalist the Baron is a step down from the Duke. But he’s an effective option for your General.
Battle Standard Bearer on Royal Pegasus
The Battle Standard of your army is going to have a big impact on the Battlefield. So why not stick yours on a Pegasus and have it zip around the tabletop?
Knights of the Realm on Foot
Not all knights are mounted. Perhaps their horses were on loan. Or perhaps they lost theirs in the battle early and had to reform on foot. Either way, this is an entirely new unit and they are ready to rumble on foot!
Returning Old World Units
Knights of the Realm (Mounted)
The classic Knights of the Realm are back. And in lance formation no less!
Pegasus Knights
These flying terrors are back as well. And they look like they’ve got new flight stands, too.
Men-At-Arms
The classic peasant army is also back to support those knights. It does look like their bases got a little bigger. But those are the classic models for sure.
Peasant Bowmen
The Peasant Bowmen are also back. And they brought their old defensive spikes with them!
Forge World Resin Releases
Field Trebuchet
This old school metal trebuchet is back and this time it will be in Forge World resin. As well as a few other releases.
Bretonnian Models in Resin
These were all previously revealed models from GW. And they are going to be cast in resin as well.
Handmaiden of the Lady
The final reveal was the new (resin) Handmaiden of the Lady miniature.
There’s more coming to the Old World and GW hasn’t revealed the OTHER half of the launch box. But I’ve got a gut feeling for that release…
