Solwyte Studio
Solwyte Studios stands out as a true GIANT in the world of sci-fi miniature design. Their commitment to delivering unique, creative and impressive models is nothing short of remarkable. Drawing inspiration from a wide array of modern sci-fi franchises such as Dune, Judge Dredd, Star Wars, Warhammer, The Matrix, Mech Warrior, and more, Solwyte Studios ensures that every piece they create is a work of miniature art.
One of the most impressive aspects of Solwyte Studios is their fearless approach to scale. While many studios stick to the conventional 25mm/32mm single figures, Solwyte breaks the mold by crafting massive titan-scale units and an impressive lineup of large, mechanized armor. Their dedication to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of stl subscriptions is commendable.
But Solwyte Studios doesn’t stop at miniatures alone, they are in the process of developing an army-level game to complement their miniature collection. With seven unique armies to choose from, including Aventine Dynasties, Covenants of Asyri, Legacies of Mars, Skalos Guard, Legions of the Khurybah, Terran Warhosts, and the towering Secutor Constructs, players are sure to find a stl that fits their nerdy little hearts desires.
Solwyte’s miniatures have proven to be incredibly versatile. They seamlessly integrate into a wide range of popular games, such as Space Station Zero, Stargrave, and One Page Rules: Grimdark Future, enhancing the visual appeal and immersion of these already fantastic games Sci-Fi games.
Solwyte Studios takes ease of use to the next level by providing pre-supported models that make 3D printing a snap. The experience of printing their models has been overwhelmingly positive, with print failures being a rare occurrence.
If there’s one minor drawback to Solwyte’s offerings, it’s that they tend to come with a slightly higher price tag compared to many monthly subscriptions and other studios. However, it’s important to recognize that premium quality often comes with a premium price, and the investment is well justified by the exceptional quality of the stl’s. Moreover, when weighed against the cost of physical goods in the same hobby, the prices remain reasonable and accessible to enthusiasts.
In conclusion, Solwyte Studios is a standout in the world of 3D printing and sci-fi miniatures. Their ease of use, exceptional quality, and unique style make them a top choice for sci-fi hobbyists and gamers alike. While they may not be the most budget-friendly option, their value is unquestionable. If you’re in search of premium, awe-inspiring sculpts with a wow factor, Solwyte Studio’s store is a destination worth visiting.

Beastiarum Miniatures
Imagine blending the worlds of Game of Thrones, The Witcher, Kingdom Death, Dante’s Inferno, and Dark Souls together into a dark and twisted concoction. That’s precisely what Beastiarum Miniatures offers every month, and it’s nothing short of mesmerizing. Drawing inspiration from Eastern European myths and fairytales, while still embracing familiar Tolkien-esque elements, this studio is a treasure trove for any fantasy enthusiast. And with Halloween just around the corner, one of their latest collections, “The Coven,” is the perfect addition to your spooky campaigns.
Frighten your party with Baba Yaga, stalk them with a Crawling Hag, and ambush them from the shadows with Pygmie blow guns. All’s fair in the dark woods of Grandmother’s house.
Beasitarum Miniatures is probably best known for their Penitent Crusade series (of which there are 3 collections) that looks reminiscent of Dark Souls. With twisted medieval knights, summoned demons and corrupted humans these unique miniatures will catch the eye of any enthusiast and create a moody Grimdark presence at any gaming table.
For September, 2023, Beatiarum is offering a unique take on angels. The Echos of the Seraphim are downloadable now from their MyMiniFactory Tribes subscription or Patreon.
Not only does Beastiarum Miniatures provide meticulously crafted miniatures, but they also include one-shot D&D 5E adventure modules set in their unique universe, complete with stat blocks for monsters and NPCs. The creativity poured into these creations is awe-inspiring, and their commitment to quality is undeniable. Miniatures come pre-supported, hollowed where needed, and have undergone test printing to ensure ease of use. In my experience, issues have been few and far between, and the studio even maintains a Discord community where they offer invaluable support for printing, painting ideas, and community collaboration.
Whether you’re a D&D fanatic, a fan of fantasy skirmish games like Yafsiga, or into One Page Rules Fantasy Battle offerings, Beastiarum Miniatures has something for you. They offer a catalog of nearly 500+ STLs (and growing), so you’ll never struggle to find the perfect STL for your campaign. Beyond that members get exclusive monthly discounts on previous releases typically between 25-50% off. This studio has truly carved out its niche in the world of fantasy gaming, offering a distinctive blend of low fantasy motifs, mature themes, and ultra violence. As someone who dabbles in various fantasy skirmish games, I can confidently say that Beastiarum Miniatures is a standout choice to add month after month to your collection.
