Age of Sigmar: Things We Want To See At The Next Preview
Games Workshop is hosting a new Warhammer Preview Online next week and we’ve got a few things we want to see from the Mortal Realms.
We’ve got about a week until the next Warhammer Preview Online. We already know what games systems are being showcased and we’ve even got a few teases as to what is getting revealed. That said, we’ve got few items we’re really hoping to see in the next preview.
A New Roadmap
This is priority number one for us. We’re quickly reaching the end of the current roadmap with the last two items likely getting previewed next week. What will those be? Keep reading. But a new roadmap to generate some more hype would be very welcomed. Also, can we get some product-roadmap teasers in there?
Flesh-eater Courts Battletome Reveal
Okay, we’ve all pretty much known that the final Battletome is Flesh-eater Courts. We were hoping to get that confirmation last time around, but alas, here we are. The new teaser video is a good sign and we’ve also got the preview/teaser of the new character, too.
So confidence is pretty high on this being a major reveal.
The Final Dawnbringers Book
The last preview showed off Book III so I’m hoping we get a tease about the fourth and final Dawnbringers book at the Preview. With it already being November and the official start of winter being December 21, 2023, we might see a release of the final book in 2024 (think January). But that’s a long time between Dawnbringer book releases so I’m not super confident in an extended timeframe. Plus, with the holidays, GW typically doesn’t do any MAJOR announcements as the Battleforces are the “big thing” for the season.
More Flesh-eater Courts Models
I’m REALLY hoping we see more new models for the FEC in the preview. GW already showed off the Gorewarden and I hope that wasn’t their only surprise they were holding on to. The FEC a relatively light roster of units and could really use some more options to bulk that army out. I’m not asking for a full refresh but another 2-3 units would be a welcome addition to the range.
Hints At The Future
The GHB is slated to last until mid-next year. And with the final Battletome reveal around the corner we’re basically at the end of the edition. Dawnbringers just needs to wrap-up and then AoS 3.0 is basically complete. So what happens next? The GHB will end closer to mid-2024, so will next year be the release of AoS 4.0? Honestly, the current edition of the game plays excellently and the GHBs have been a great way to shake-up the meta (even if I personally didn’t like the shift in focus). Perhaps GW keeps AoS 3.0 + a new GHB? Or will we get some major realm-shattering events from Dawnbringers that completely up-ends the game. Not that GW has ever done anything like that before…
