Someone (or something) has gone rock climbing and has made their way to the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop.

It’s another Tuesday and this week is special. Not because Turkey Day is just a few days away but because we’ve got a brand new Rumor Engine to feast our eyes upon! And it’s also the same week as Thanksgiving — so yeah, it IS special because it’s Turkey day AND we have a brand new Rumor Engine. That only happens once a year!

“A hand (a foot? a paw? the base of an ornamental lamp?) on some kind of stone or masonry – a true classic of the Rumour Engine stable. Many such images have been observed through our ages of scrying the future, but even after all these years we still cannot hazard a guess at its owner.”

Rumor Engine Rock Climber

This one is a bit of a doozy. It looks like a hand. But that hand has three fingers and a thumb. And it also looks fairly claw-like. Is this a foot then? Perhaps someone is making a stand on a tactical rock? But also, which creatures have three fingers and a thumb?

The T’au! Of course. It’s gotta be them. Sure they might not have the claws but can you really trust them and their whole “Greater Good” philosophy? They’re probably secret chaos agents and have been warped on the outside to match their inner turmoil. Clearly, they are the three fingered menace that are coming in the future.

Oh sure, sure — this might not match their aesthetic at all. They might be known for their high-tech anime inspired looked but that’s all a clever ruse. This is a more feral version of the T’au. Chaos T’au! It’s a twist so obvious that it’s the only answer. It’s not like there could be other races or models that have three fingers out there. Nope. I’m calling it now. It’s T’au all the way for this one…

Chaos T’au — they come with mustaches and angry eyebrows.
