It’s time to roll the dice on new releases! Come check out this week’s batch of brand-new tabletop role-playing games.

Epyllion: A Dragon Epic

Epyllion is a tabletop role-playing game about young drakes who investigate rumors, solve problems, and discover the truth of a growing evil in Dragonia. While you play, you and your friends tell awesome stories, explore what it means to be a drake of Dragonia, and discover the value of friendship through magical, whimsical, and heartfelt adventures.

This easy-to-learn adventure game helps you tell the stories of a brave clutch of young dragons through a supportive yet simple system that promotes active listening, creativity, and cooperative play.

The Electric State Roleplaying Game

The new tabletop RPG is based on the internationally acclaimed narrative art book The Electric State by artist and author Simon Stålenhag, soon to be adapted into a major motion picture by the Russo brothers (Avengers: Endgame), starring Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) and Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy).

Using Free League’s award-winning Year Zero Engine, the game is about a group of travelers heading out on a journey through a strange America in an alternate 1997. The ruins of gigantic battle drones litter the countryside, heaped together with the discarded trash of a high-tech consumerist society in decline.

Warlord Ascendant

Warlord Ascendant is a wargame focused on small-scale battles, set in the world of Sacrifice: An Incense & Iron RPG. In it, you take control of a small warband; this can be anything, from a group of mercenary soldiers to a horde of desperate peasants, or even an inquisitor with their retinue. Your goal is to grow more powerful and extend your influence over as much of No Man’s Land as possible, potentially turning you into one of the big names in the region.

Warlord Ascendant utilizes the Sacrifice: An Incense & Iron RPG rules as its basis, so if you’re familiar with that game, you’ll be playing Warlord Ascendant in no time. This means that all checks utilize a D20 for their resolution and the character stats and details that most know from OSR games are present here. As a skirmish game, the focus of Warlord Ascendant is combat and tactics, and as such you will find that there is more detail here than in most RPGs, while remaining as fast and deadly as ever.

Twisted Fairy Tales

Beware the Things that Go Bump in the Night!

Discover the sinister secrets of the grymkin in this chilling expansion for Iron Kingdoms: Requiem. From the mournful tolling of the Defiers’ bells to the creeping shadows that drag unwary travelers away, you’ll uncover forbidden lore and terrifying monsters within, along with a new Bardic college, the College of Foreboding.

Advanced Artificers

Transformed, upgraded, and adapted by the original author of the Advanced 5th edition artificer class, these magical crafters are back with some new and improved toys. Advanced artificers give you more creative control of your creations than ever before, and firmly establish the artificer as the perfect class for players prone to inventive solutions.
