Games Workshop: Advent Engine Day 20 – ‘Gladius of War’
A Warhammer model is coming and they have a sword! At least that’s what this new Advent Engine is teasing from Games Workshop.
Welcome to the Advent Engine! It’s that special time of year when Games Workshop’s teaser department kicks into overdrive and we get the Advent Engine every day for (almost) a month! With today’s teaser it’s pretty clear someone is getting ready to go on the offensive. With a sword in hand no less. Let’s get into the latest Advent Engine!
“The Advent Engine seems to be aware that it’s been extra-cryptic recently, because today’s reveal is designed to cut through the confusion, sever the secrets, and decapitate the doubt. If doubt has a head, which we, er, doubt. “
Advent Engine ‘Gladius of War’
This sword is ready to cut and thrust it’s way across the battlefield. But real question is who’s wielding it? The sword itself looks plain — as in I don’t see anything that indicates something more advanced. Like a power sword’s powerfield generator nodes. It looks very much like a traditional blade.
There are some interesting studs on the glove and guard. I wonder if the vambrace is hiding some more details, too. Also, we can almost make out the pattern on the hilt. It honestly reminds me of Stormcast Eternals a little.
This could be a new version of Stormcast Armor as it wouldn’t be the first time that GW has changed their style up. They also have lots of studs on their equipment so that seems like a hint. We might have to wait a bit longer to see where this trail leads however.
But that’s where you come in! If you’ve got any ideas on what this new Advent Engine could be teasing drop us a line in the comments. You guesses are as good as ours!
