Games Workshop: Advent Engine Day 7 – ‘Chain Gang’
We’ve got another Advent Engine from Games Workshop and this one is giving us “lockdown” vibes. What in the world could it be?
Welcome to the Advent Engine! It’s that special time of year when Games Workshop’s teaser department kicks into overdrive and we get the Advent Engine every day for (almost) a month! Today’s Advent Engine is a curious one. It’s got some archaic looking hardware involved. Could something be getting chained up or is something else going on?

Advent Engine ‘Chain Gang’
So what are we looking at here? Well, as mentioned, it’s archaic looking for sure. There are chains and hooks attached to some sort of wooden structure. The text from GW teases a “handle” but they might just be acting cheeky. But maybe this is some sort of steering device or handle for something.
That said, my very first gut reaction was “Nighthaunt” due to the chains and wood. This could some some strange torture device that GW cooked up for one of these vengeful ghosts. They have a well documented habit of using those materials.
Now, this isn’t 100% but I think we might be in the right ballpark. Then again, what’s throwing me off is that lightning bolt looking object on the left. That could be a lot of things. But lightning bolts are associated with Stormcasts Eternals. It’s also hard to see what’s going on under the wooded apparatus. Perhaps this is some Kruleboyz contraption. Or something attached to a Gargant…
Those Mega Gargants do tend to pick-up a lot of strange stuff. Whatever this one is it’s certainly intriguing. I’m looking forward to seeing what this one turns out to be in the future!
