Games Workshop: Advent Engine Day 8 – ‘Servo Skull To The Rescue’
The Advent Engine has fired up once again and we’ve got a new image to chew on. What could this one be from Games Workshop? You make the call.
Welcome to the Advent Engine! It’s that special time of year when Games Workshop’s teaser department kicks into overdrive and we get the Advent Engine every day for (almost) a month! This time around we’ve got a headache of an image to unpack. But not a headache for you, O Reader Mine, but rather for the poor soul who’s skull got converted into this…contraption.
“Is it just us, or is the Advent Engine getting more cryptic every day? Our skulls are devoid of ideas, no matter how much parchment we try to fill with thoughts on just what it could be.”
Advent Engine – Servo Skull To The Rescue
So we’ve got a skull and it’s attached to a toilet paper roll handle parchment scroll. There’s also some additional hardware attached, too. Now my very first inclination here is that this is an Adeptus Mechanicus thing. At least it seems like a contraption they’d whip up:
But let’s widen the scope here as Servo Skulls aren’t just and Ad Mech thing. Space Marines use them. Inquisitors use them. Heck, I’m pretty there’s been a few Guardsmen with them at some point. Basically the entire Imperium of Mankind has these guys floating around.
What about those weird cherub skulls? Do those count, too?
And if this could be an Imperial thing, that means it could also be a Chaos thing — although this one doesn’t have a mohawk or extra spikes on it. However, it does look pretty Warhammer: 40k to me. Could it be some from Age of Sigmar? I don’t want to rule that out but I do think this one is a bit too advanced. And on closer inspection, does that skull have Space Marine Service Studs in it’s brow? Hmm…
In any case, if you’ve got ideas we’d like to read them! So drop us a line in the comments with your theory of what/who this Servo Skull serves.

Day Two – ‘Now That’s A Purity Seal’
It would be nice to read that parchment. That would be a huge clue!
