Games Workshop: Advent Engine – ‘Wings And More To Come’
Games Workshop has once again fired up the Advent Engine. Get ready for a slew of teasers and surprises for this Christmas season!
It’s that special time of year when Games Workshop’s teaser department kicks into overdrive and we get the Advent Engine activated. It’s the first day of this parade of previews so let’s get into it!
“We sent our bravest (or newest) team members into the lair of the Rumour Engine to leave offerings of milk and cookies, and beseech it for teasers of miniatures yet to come. And lo, this morning we awoke to find a twisted tree, bedecked with fairy lights, unblinking daemonic eyes, and enough glittering baubles to give you a peek at forthcoming delights every day until Christmas.”
Advent Engine Day 1 – ‘Wings And More To Come’
Well now, what are we looking at? Clearly those are feathers and they appear to be in the form of a wing of some type. What creature to these hail from? That’s what we’ve got to sort out! The problem is that wings and feathers are kind of all over the worlds of Warhammer. For example, we’ve got the wing motifs from the Dark Angels for both Deathwing and Ravenwing!
We’re not saying that this tease is from the Dark Angel, but it’s possible. And the Dark Angels are getting new Deathwing Knights — but this tease could just be from something in the distant future. At least these wings look somewhat organic. We can probably rule out a lot of the Xenos armies as well as the more mechanically inclined factions.
On the other end of the spectrum we also have the various monsters and units from the Age of Sigmar range. Birds and bird-like creatures are all over that one. So you could say this Advent Engine teaser really is up in the air…
