Goatboy’s Grimdark Armylist: Adeptus Mechanicus – Cawl’s Robo-Horde
I’ve been watching a lot of anime lately – so let’s try to get a robot AdMech armylist together. Today Cawl is bringing out all his robo friends!
Alright, you know the initial ask in this 10thedition Adeptus Mechanicus list. Maximize the Robots, maximize the Datasmiths, and probably add in Cawl to get all the points to work out. Then add a sprinkling of other units to abalance out the army’s abilities. Let’s look at what the points fill out. We are going to max out the Beep Boops, add in some characters, fill out some interesting options, and then see how it all works out. I doubt it will super-optimized for 10th’s meta, but hey if you got robots from a few editions ago you should try this out.

Cawl’s Robo-Horde Adeptus Mechanicus Tactics
This is a pretty simple build. You create a nice central ball for the Kastelan Robots to hang around with their Datasmiths. Cawl sits in the middle. Your snipers hide in the back. Finally, you have two little horse cavalry units to push the middle and cause other weird issues. I left the weapon loadout of the robots off, so you can use what you have. But I get the feeling one fist with a gun would be the best way to set up. They are designed to wreck some stuff with AdMech bullets and just keep the enemy at bay.
It is also an army full of big exciting models and could look cool with some great paintjobs. And it lets you use Cawl to the fullest just to let him control the center like some kind of crazy director of the loudest orchestra of robotic destruction you can imagine. Which of course, is something I love to play and see on the tabletop. Just bully your way around the board with an easy army to paint, pilot and wreck shop.
All Hail the Omnissiah!
