Warhammer 40K: Kill Team – ‘Blades of Khaine’ Take Mix and Match To A Whole New Level
The Aeldari Kill Team Blades of Khaine are the Swiss Army Knife of Kill Team. You can’t stop this Kill Team from completing their mission!
When it comes to skill and training the Aeldari are at an advantage compared to most other factions. They have a long life span and use that time to train in a wide variety of skills. We know this from the lore and it’s reflected in the Aspect Warriors of the Craftworlds. And now we’re getting a taste of that on the Kill Team tabletop.
“The Blades of Khaine have no need for inflexible specialisation – not when they can rely on consummate Aeldari skill. These kill teams are made up of Aspect Warriors from the Striking Scorpions, Dire Avengers, and Howling Banshees shrines, each combining stealth, discipline, and agile fury.
As a result, building a Blades of Khaine kill team is a slightly different experience – all you need to do is pick a single Exarch from one of these three shrines, and any combination of seven Aspect Warrior operatives. You can select a full team of brand new Striking Scorpions, or opt for Dire Avengers, or Howling Banshees, or any combination of all three.”
Blade of Khaine Kill Team
There’s no need to stick to one inflexible specialist with this Kill Team. With the Aspect Techniques you’re always going to have another option. With five Aspect Techniques for each shrine that means there’s 15 total to use. These are a whole lot like Tactical Ploys — except they are free! Each member of your Kill Team is going to be the right tool for the job.
In many ways this makes the Blades of Khaine one of the most versatile and unique Kill Teams out there. No one member is going to be mission critical in that if they get KO’d, you lose. They are going to have back-up plans and redundancy built in.
Not only do these Aspect Warriors have the skills (to pay the bills) they also have the wargear and tools to complement them. From Banshee Masks to Mandiblasters (and loads of toys inbetween) they have the arsenal to complete the mission.
This Kill Team is nothing if not flexible. Really, the best way to stop them is to ensure none of them make it to their objectives alive. And uh…good luck with that. The Blade of Khaine won’t go down without a fight!
No need to specialize when everyone can do it all!
