Warhammer 40K: ‘Space Marine 2’ Gets A Release Date
Your life may be honor, and your craft may be death, but do you know what Space Marine 2 is coming out? It’s soon!
Last night The Game AdvertisementsAwards told us all a bunch of things we already know. Baldur’s Gate 3 is game of the year. Indie Games are a vibe, not an actual category, and just because a studio has millions doesn’t mean they can’t make an indie darling (sarcasm). And of course, a whole lot of games with cool-looking trailers are coming out sometime between very soon and Blizzard-Activision Soon (never).
Space Marine 2 is one such game. And last night, during Geoff Keighley’s show about video games that made Gonzo the Great talk about Tears of the Kingdom, Space Marine 2, (official title Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2), revealed its release date.
And since it’s slated for a September 9th, 2024 release, it’s coming much sooner than many of the other games on display.

In the release trailer, we don’t get many new details. We just get to see the newly Primaris’d, now-Lieutenant Titus pledging eternal service to the Emperor (or at least the Ultramarines), while admitting that his craft is death. And it’s true. Even if this trailer is sparse on details, don’t forget that extended gameplay trailer from a few months ago:
Where we basically see that Lieutenant Titus is basically a The Craftsman of killing Tyranids. He finds all sorts of inventive ways to show that he shall know no fear on the battlefield.
But the latest Space Marine 2 trailer does give us one vital piece of info, the Space Marine 2 release date, September 9th, 2024. That day happens to be a Monday, so, clearly Games Workshop and Focus want you to take time off from work to play the game. We recommend working on your fake cough now, so you’ll be a dab hand at it by the time Space Marine 2’s release date finally arrives.
Alongside the release date trailer, a press release promised all the usual action and adventure you might expect from a 40K game press release:
