Warhammer: Friendly PSA – Online Order Christmas Cut-Off Shipping Dates and Also Codex: Zoats?!
Do you want to place an order from Games Workshop for a Christmas gift? Well you need to order them online by these dates based on region!
This time of year there’s an increase in travel traffic and also shipping deliveries. On top of that, some of these deliveries have to travel farther than others to get to where they need to go. There’s a lot of logistics involved and expectations to be met. With that last part in mind, GW is attempting to give everyone a heads-up when it comes to deliveries in time for Christmas gifts. There is a cut-off date for guaranteed UPS Shipping.

“The Christmas dates differ by region – please note that these are the UPS shipping dates, and that your local mail service may have slightly different dates. There are two tables, one for Australia (which is massive and requires its own dates) and another for the rest of the world. “
As you can see there are some regions that are impacted starting today, December 8, 2023. Be sure to check for your particular region if you plan on ordering anything online from warhammer.com.
Ideally, you’ve gotten your orders in already and everything is gravy! But if not, well, good luck. There’s always the Warhammer Store option which you can check locations for via the store finder. Personally, I like to shop at our local stores where I also play games at. I’d like to continue to have those places to play and buying stuff from them seems like the best way to facilitate that. So go support your local scene and shop at your FLGS!
Codex: Zoats?!
Oh come on now. You didn’t think we’d let this one slide by without mentioning it, did you?
At around the 0:10 second mark, there’s a comment about “Codex Zoats….finally.” Obviously this is just a joke/throw away line…right? Are Zoats the new ‘Squat Clock’ gag from GW? Personally, I’m here for the gags just as much as other long time fans. At the same time we’ve had a couple different Zoat models over the years.

What the heck are Zoats? Well if you’re asking that please check out the Lexicanum for even more details. But the long and short answer is that they are another race from the lore that has appeared in both 40k and Warhammer Fantasy Battles. They have a pretty interesting backstory and have had a few art images over the years. They’ve popped-up mostly as one-off models and never had a full ‘codex’ release. And, again, while this might be a joke line it could always come true one day! Heck, GW brought back and updated the Squats… it could happen. The Grimdark Universe is a BIG place.
