Warhammer Next, Next Week – Kill Team Salvation, More Nids, And Deathgorge
Games Workshop rolls out some big bugs and new Kill Team buds… in about two weeks or so. Get ready for Kill Team Salvation.
The holidays are a time to rest up and recharge, celebrating the fact that you’ve made it another season ’round the sun. And with the solstice drawing closer and Christmas and New Year’s beyond, it’s time to get ready to party. Which may be why Games Workshop is showing off what’s coming, not next week, but in two weeks, to the 23rd of December.
On that glorious Boxing Day Eve Eve Eve, GW will roll out with pre-orders for a new Kill Team set, complete with new accompanying Killzone terrain, a whole batch of Tyranids now available individually instead of in the boxed set, and a new warband for Warhammer Underworlds: Death Gorge.
Let’s take a look!
Tyranid Trouble – Bring Out The Big Bugs
On December 23rd, you’ll finally be able to grab all of the Tyranids that had been stashed away in the big Warhammer 40K Leviathan boxed set as their own kit. Meaning you no longer have to buy a big box of unrelated minis when you just wanted another Winged Tyranid Prime, for instance.
You’ll also find Von Ryan’s Leapers,
The terribly destructive Psychophage, who, as the name suggests eats psykers (and whatever else gets in its maw),
The new Neurogaunts,
And in the Horrors of the Hive kit, you’ll get the Screamer-Killer and Neurotyrant, along with two Neuroloids.
Kill Team: Salvation
Don’t let the bugalanche bury you, though. Accompanying the Tyranid torrent, Kill Team: Salvation. This boxed set introduces two new Kill Teams, this time it’s Striking Scorpions and Space Marine Scouts.
Along with the 20 new miniatures, you’ll get five Mechanicus-themed terrain pieces, the new 88-page rulebook, Kill Team: Salvation, and all the cards and tokens, etc. that you come to expect from a box like this.
Why “Mechanicus-themed terrain”? Because Killzone: Bheta-Decmia is also releasing for pre-order on the 23rd. Set atop the oceanic rigs of the Mechanicus-ruled planet, Killzone: Bheta Decmia gives you 18 pieces of terrain, with lots of walkways a big tower piece, and plenty of objective markers.
Warhammer: Underworlds – Deathgorge, Let’s Get Stabby
Finally in Deathgorge, the current Warhammer Underworlds arena, a bunch of Orruks come clambering in. Daggok’s Stab-Ladz are a kunnin’ bunch of assassins, cut-throats, and Stab-Ladz, led by Daggok himself.
You can also snag the new Malevolent Masks Rivals Deck, adding new “daemon-haunted masks” to the game, which you can shuffle into your very own deck.
All this, coming December 23rd!
