Age of Sigmar: Hobby Highlight – Painting a Nurgle Pusgoyle Blightlord

It’s time to paint up a Pusgoyle Blightlord for Age of Sigmar in this week’s Hobby Highlight!
Today I am showing how I painted a Pusgoyle Blightlord for Age of Sigmar.
The Pusgoyle Blightlord consists of a plague-swelled and corrupted Rotbringer riding atop a massive Rotfly. Like all Neverborn of Nurgle models, this guy has lots of fun textures and plenty of gross details. Painting this simple scheme was a lot of fun.
Pusgoyle Blightlord Paint Scheme
So this Nurgle scheme is done entirely with simple techniques combining GW Contrast paints with the magic of a Burnt Umber oil wash. Each color consists of a single contrast, a cleaned-up oil wash, and an additional highlight on a few of the colors- that is it. For the base, I wanted to represent one of the oxide blood-red deserts of Aqshy.
