‘Badland Hunters’ – Hunt or Die to Survive in Post-Apocalyptic, Zombie Infested Seoul
A man on a rescue mission must navigate a destroyed Seoul that’s been overrun by criminals and the undead in Badland Hunters.
Netflix has added a ton of fantastic Korean shows and movies ranging from horror and fantasy to crime dramas and romance. The partnership with Korean studios has produced projects like Squid Game, JUNG_E, All of Us Are Dead, Hellbound, and Sweet Home. The newest movie takes us to a Seoul that’s been shattered by a natural disaster.
In Badland Hunters, a massive earthquake has turned Seoul into a lawless land filled with untold dangers. One of a handful of survivors, Nam-san is a “relentless wasteland hunter.” He is tasked with tracking down and rescuing a teenager who’s been abducted by a villainous doctor. The hunter won’t be just dealing with the fallout from the earthquake – there are hordes of zombies roaming the badlands.

Badland Hunters Cast & Details
The movie is an almost sequel to Um Tae-hwa’s Concrete Utopia, which is about a group of people trapped in an apartment building after the same earthquake. It’s the Korean Film Council’s official entry for the 96th Academy Awards – the ceremony will be held on March 10th.
Badland Hunters is written and directed by long-time stunt coordinator Heo Myeong-hang (The Good the Bad the Weird, Oldboy). The cast is led by Ma Dong-Seok (popularly known as Don Lee). He is joined by Lee Hee-Jun, Lee Jun-Young, Roh Jeong-Eui, and An Ji-Hye.
After a deadly earthquake turns Seoul into a lawless badland, a fearless huntsman springs into action to rescue a teenager abducted by a mad doctor.
Badland Hunters debuts on Netflix on Friday, January 26.
