Hold the door! Tiny Epic Game of Thrones brings us back to the lands of Westeros, hopefully before the last season.

Fans of Game of Thrones (me) and fans of the Tiny Epic series (also me), rejoice! Tiny Epic Game of Thrones is coming to Kickstarter soon.

Gamelyn Games is very excited about its partnership with Warner Bros and USAopoly for this upcoming game. Still, even though the Kickstarter isn’t live (as of writing), we’re not totally in the dark about what to expect.

Tiny Epic Game of Thrones Preview

According to Gamelyn, players will be each controlling one of the seven houses, fighting for power, influence, and control of the iron throne. It will be up to the players to step into the role of iconic characters to solve dilemmas, maneuver political intrigue, and wage epic battles. Each choice the players make will ripple through their own kingdom, but also the entire realm.

Mechanically speaking, Tiny Epic Game of Thrones will utilize multi-use cards that will allow players to plot and scheme while they pillage and plunder. Similarly, they will use “an innovative limited-action dice mechanism”, with actions such as Plot, Whisper, Event, March, and Sail. Once one player makes an action, other players will have the option to follow along, making downtime limited at most.

One thing Tiny Epic games have always been great at is gameplay density. Even though the game only lasts 6 rounds, you can bet every round will be tense until the end.

Coming to Kickstarter

While the Kickstarter isn’t live just yet, you can head over there now and sign up to be notified upon launch. My gut says it should be any day now since it’s already been up for a little while.

If you’ve never played a Tiny Epic game, I highly recommend them. I have backed (Ultra) Tiny Epic Kingdoms, Tiny Epic Tactics, and Tiny Epic Dungeons. So to say I’m a fan is an understatement. Gamelyn Games makes great games every time. And if Game of Thrones isn’t your thing, you can also check out Tiny Epic Cthulhu, which was recently fully funded.
