Do you have a hankering for the Old World? Sate your hunger for grim peril temporarily with Total War: Warhammer 3, now half off on Steam.

Steam Sales are a time-honored tradition around the major holidays. It’s the perfect time to expand your library with titles that you intend to play and will never pick up, or to find the next game you’ll play for ten thousand hours despite it being about some weird little guy. Either way, they’re a great way to satisfy the need to have something shiny and new.

Which is good, because right now you can’t have the shiny new Old World stuff. At least not for a while. But what you can do, is jump into Total War: Warhammer 3, which is massively discounted on Steam for their Winter Sale.

Total War: Warhammer 3 Steam Sale

Total War: Warhammer 3 offers up the biggest map of the Old World seen to date in the form of its Immortal Empires mode. This is classic sandbox strategy. You take control of one of the myriad factions in the game, from big familiar faces like Karl Franz and Skarbrand and set out to take control of everything. An undertaking which you, yourself, can undertake at 50% off right now. The world is yours… assuming you have all the right games. Because while Immortal Empires opens up every faction, not every Legendary Lord is available to players who only own Warhammer 3. For many factions are locked away behind the requirement that you own the games they appeared in, which is fair for such an expansive title.

Fortunately, however, many of those titles are even more on sale as part of the Total War Steam Winter Sale. Total War: Warhammer 2 is 66% off and Total War: Warhammer is 75% off. This gives you most of what you’d want. All the DLC for the respective trilogy can be had for a fraction of their original price.

Newer expansions like the Chaos Dwarves are a mere 20% off, but older DLC can be had for a song. Assuming that song costs you five dollars.
