Games Workshop Rumor Engine: ‘That Looks Infected’
The latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop is out and it’s looking rather irritated. They might want to see a doctor.
Welcome to Tuesday everyone! I hope your day is going well. If not, well at least there’s a Rumor Engine to brighten your day. This one is…kinda weird. But don’t take my word for it. Have a look and tell us what you think it could be in the comments!

Rumor Engine – That Looks Infected
It’s really hard to tell what we’re looking at other that it doesn’t look healthy. It could be some sort of tumor or sore that’s had the skin torn. It’s got veins running along it as well. I don’t think those are exposed and it doesn’t look like there’s any blood…but that’s still not good. What the heck could this one be?
First up, I think we can rule out any technological options. Machine-heavy armies are probably out for this one. No Ad Mech or Necrons. It’s also probably not Imperium related — or Leagues of Votann. It could be something for the Tyranids but they already got their big push this edition so, even in a year, I’m less inclined to think they are getting anything either.
I certainly don’t want to rule out Chaos Daemons. This could be some sort of chaos-beasty for sure. We’ve seen GW go with some pretty grotesque options before and Chaos isn’t afraid to pull out some body horror.
On the Age of Sigmar side of things, well, Chaos is still a strong contender. I also don’t want to rule out anything else that’s organic, however. I don’t see any leaves or bark so maybe not Sylvaneth. But at the same time there’s a lot of strange stuff happening with the tears and sores on this thing. It’s like a creepy, fleshy ‘Eye of Sauron’ thing — the more you look at it the less sense it’s making. I think I’m good here… It’s your turn on this one.
