Have you been wanting to get your Titan-on-Titan action on? Well the new supplement The Great Slaughter, you’ll be able to do just that.

When it comes to massive battles Legions Imperialis has the goods. You can bring a TON of tiny miniatures and throw down in some Epic Scale fights. And when it comes to the lore, there’s few sectors that can rival Garmon Cluster when it comes to pure Titandeath and massive kill counts. With the new supplement The Great Slaughter get ready to bring on the Titans and throw down!

Legions Imperials – The Great Slaughter

Legions Imperialis is expanding its rules to include Titandeath Games. While you could technically play Adeptus Titanicus, with some slight rules tweaks, you can play the more streamlined version of Legions Imperialis with all Titans, all the time! Games Workshop is showing off a few of these tweaks to get your engines going.

Engine Killer Points Increase

The first major change is that Engine Killer Weapons will cost you some additional points. It’s nothing too crazy, as you can figure out their points with a simple formula as seen in the image above. Just take the Engine Killer (X) special rule and take the “X” value and multiply it by 10 to get the points cost. If it’s Engine Killer (3), then it’s 30 extra points. If the value is “-” then it’s no additional points. Simple.

Coordinated Fire Change

With a slight change in firing order players can use their weapons more effectively to take out those pesky void shields without wasting valuable Engine Killer weapon shots on them. It’s a really simple change to the firing sequence. It might take a little getting used to but it should be a quick adjustment.

Additionally, most of the other rules can be found in the Legions Imperialis Rulebook on page 205. “These powerful armies then duke it out in their own Titandeath missions, which have simplified objective layouts to account for the more unwieldy units in play.

Aside from those big tweaks, there’s still the standard stuff you’ll want to sort out. You’ll still need Secondary Objectives and The Great Slaughter also contains six missions designed specifically to work with Titandeah armies. You’ll probably want to invest in some Knight households to fill out your ranks, too. Someone needs to move quick and claim objectives afterall!

Legions Imperialis vs Adeptus Titanicus – Titandeath

I think that Thomas, on of the designers of the game puts it best on why you would want to do this in Legions Imperialis instead of Adeptus Titanicus:

“It’s faster to play than Adeptus Titanicus and features rules dedicated solely to Titan and Knight warfare, so it allows a game involving scores of Titans to be played out in a few hours, rather than a whole weekend. It’s brutal, fast-paced warfare between god-engines that allows even the most legendary of princeps to marshall their full collection on the tabletop.”

So there you have it folks. If you want to go romp-and-stomp with your Titan Legions in Legions Imperialis your time is here. Just snag The Great Slaughter, check out this article, and get to blastin’ with your Titans!
