Pathfinder and Starfinder players have a lot to look forward to – from hefty rulebooks to fun and challenging adventures – headed your way at GenCon 2024!

Take on any adventure with the new 320-page rulebook that greatly expands the options available to players. It remasters eight classes from Pathfinder Second Edition, providing everything players need to create new characters ready to take on even the biggest challenges. It also includes more than 40 archetypes, expanded ancestries, and tons of feats, spells, and alchemical items to provide exciting options for every character.

“Pathfinder Player Core 2 is the fourth core rulebook for the fully remastered Pathfinder Second Edition RPG! These rules are compatible with previous Pathfinder Second Edition rulebooks, incorporating comprehensive errata and rules updates and some of the best additions from later books into new, easier-to-access volumes with new presentations inspired by years of player feedback. Along with the Player CoreGM Core, and Monster Core, these books provide a new foundation for the future of tabletop gaming!”

– Paizo Chief Creative Officer and Publisher Erik Mona

The Pathfinder Player Core 2 rulebook will be available in hardcover and Special Edition. A Wayne Reynolds sketch cover will be offered exclusively to hobby retailers for a limited time.

Along with the new core book, there’s an all-new adventure path. This musical path will have your characters help produce an extravagant opera based on their prior adventures. Does this sound like something your players will dig? Keep an eye out for Curtain Call.

Plus, a new Pathfinder Adventure for 14th-level characters. Prey for Death gives players a chance to play members of the world’s most notorious assassin’s guild. It comes with new items, lore, and character backgrounds, as well as several powerful monsters ready to threaten high-level characters.

New Starfinder Releases

The 264-page softcover playtest rule book has a ton of new content. Build a character from level 1 to 20 that you can use in the Starfinder Playtest or your own campaign. Inside this playtest, you’ll find six new classes, ten ancestries, new skills, and new feats. Plus, futuristic equipment, including augmentations and upgrades, new science-fantasy spells, and more!

“You can directly shape the future of Starfinder by participating in a fun and rigorous playtest using one of several playtest adventures released throughout the playest period, or by trying out the new rules in your own games. If you’ve ever wanted to fire a gatling gun into a horde of onrushing aliens while laughing menacingly, battle robots in a derelict starship as a solar knight, or hack computer systems with plants as a mystical xenodruid, then the Starfinder Playtest Rulebook has you covered!”

– Starfinder Managing Creative Director Thurston Hillman

Players will be able to enjoy a new Starfinder Second Edition Playtest adventure set on one of the Pact Worlds planets. A Cosmic Birthday is for first-level characters and features fan-favorite Starfinder creatures updated to Second Edition.

You can upgrade your Starfinder games with two new collections of double-sided Flip-Mats. They feature a futuristic space station that flips to a science-fiction cityscape and a dense fungus jungle that flips to a futuristic settlement.
