Age of Sigmar: Hobby Highlight – Painting a Hedonite Lord of Hubris
It’s time to paint up a Lord of Hubris for Age of Sigmar in this week’s Hobby Highlight!
Today I am showing how I painted a Lord of Hubris for Age of Sigmar.
The Lord of Hubris is a rather opulent and arrogant Hedonite- his hubris even necessitates him showing his chest off for stabbing. They are master duellists and showboating swashbucklers that always make sure they are the center of attention. Like all Slaanesh models, this guy has lots of nice armor and plenty of smooth details. Painting this simple scheme for him to go with my Maggotkin was a lot of fun. For a bit of extra flavor, I added a nasty-looking rash to his skin. Don’t want to hang out with those chaps to long, m’Lord!
Lord of Hubris Paint Scheme
So this scheme is done entirely with simple techniques combining GW Contrast paints with the magic of washes. The Maggotkin he accompanies are very dirty, but I wanted him to be a bit cleaner. Each color consists of a single contrast, a cleaned-up wash, and an additional highlight on a few of the colors- that is it. For the base, I wanted to represent one of the oxide blood-red deserts of Aqshy.
