‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ On Xbox Will Come With 4 Discs, and a Lot of Content
Baldur’s Gate 3 speeds towards its physical release for the Xbox (and elsewhere). And it’s going to be a doozy of discs.
Developers at Larian confirmed this week that the retail version of Baldur’s Gate 3 for the Xbox will have four discs, owing to the fact that the game is too big to be contained merely on three. The official merchandise page at Larian has the updated information, which seems to finalize the details for the retail version.
If you’re looking to get your hands on the physical Ultimate Edition of Baldur’s Gate 3, meaning that you’ll have the game on your very own physical media, which is much harder to lose access to. You’ll be pleased to know that it’s shipping out soon. Though if you haven’t already pre-ordered, you’ll likely have to wait until later this year.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Ultimate Edition – Four Discs of Glory
The Xbox retail version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will indeed have 4 discs, since we’re 500mb over the limit for 3. Only option would have been to cut some content out but that didn’t make sense, so confirming 4. Updating here: https://t.co/xUoKLALyqr https://t.co/A2QQ3lI7y9

In the Twitter post linked above, Larian’s Michael Douse, Director of Publishing, confirms the changes to the physical edition:

Along with the updated merchandise page, Douse adds that it is “probable” that the first wave of shipments, originally slated for March 25th will instead be pushed to the first week of April because of the change. As Douse puts it, “no discs makes life easy. 4 discs, hard!”
But if you’re impressed at not being willing to cut even a scant half a gig from the cRPG behemoth, and looking to get your own, here’s the latest information on what’s in the ultimate edition.
