Marvel: Crisis Protocol – The Horsemen of the Apocalypse We Want
With Apocalypse coming to Marvel: Crisis Protocol it’s only fitting if we get some variants of his Horsemen in the game. Here’s our wishlist.
If you missed the news Apocalypse is coming to MCP. I’m very excited about this announcement and I’m looking forward to seeing how this expands the future roster and options for the game.
I also can’t wait to see some better pictures from AMG…just throwing that out there!
It was mentioned during the showcase that Apocalypse could indeed add folks to his “influence” to the heroes in the game and basically turn them into Horsemen. That said, the comics already has had a TON of Horsemen of the Apocalypse through the various timelines and alternate universes.
So I’ve gathered a few up that I’d like to see. Now, I’ve decided to pick four alternate versions — one for each “rider” as Death, Famine, Pestilence, and War. There’s loads more to choose from so let us know in the comments which Horsemen you’d choose.
Death – Wolverine
I mean, c’mon. You knew that Wolverine was going to be on my list, right? This version comes from the second incarnation of the Horsemen. Without getting into this too far this is basically the Wolverine who got his adamantium back when Apocalypse had him and Sabertooth duke it out. It’s quite the character redesign for sure!
Famine – Sunfire
Sunfire is a crazy powerful mutant became a willing member of Apocalypse’s Horsemen. After a battle left him without his powers and his legs he took the offer from Apocalypse to get both back. This resulted in an even more super-powered version of him who could also make people think they were starving leaving them defenseless against his attacks.
Pestilence – Caliban
Caliban as a mutant could sense other mutants from miles away. He could also tap into the psionic energy people created due to fear. He’s actually been a Horsemen for Apocalypse twice and this is the version of him as Pestilence. As Pestilence, he could also create a “mind plague” that could break down people’s psyche — kind of a strange power but also kind of unique, too. Honestly, the pickings for Pestilence are kinda slim…but honestly in MCP a Pestilence version of Caliban might make for a unique character on the tabletop.
War – Hulk
Okay, I’ll be honest, I’m not exactly a huge fan of the character redesign. However, I am a big fan of the power level of Hulk as the Horsemen War. Did you know he actually STOPPED the Juggernaut? Yeah. That’s NUTS. I dunno if he’s stronger than World Breaker Hulk…but that’s a debate for another time. Still, I think Hulk as War is a crazy concept and he would be my pick for sure.
So there’s my personal list for the Horsemen roster I’d like to see. With Sunspot coming in Q3, and Apocalypse’s ability to add Horsemen teased, there is a possibility I might just be able to create this list…although I’d have to find a different Pestilence. For now.
