Necromunda: These Are Not The Ratskin Renegades You Were Looking For
The Beastmasters of Necromunda are back with a new model and some freaky new rats to cause problems. Are these Skaven!?
Get ready for a new sort of rat problem in the Hive. The Beastmasters have some new friends ready to crawl and gnaw at the weak spots in your defenses. It’s rats, rats, and a two-headed rat coming soon!
“Twisted by millennia of exposure to Necromunda’s shockingly poor environmental record and sporting teeth that can gnaw through bones, a Wasteland Giant Rat is a handful even for an experienced Outland Beastmaster. Unlike their diminutive kin, used by House Cawdor to deliver explosive surprises, these hulking rodents are tenacious fighters in their own right.”
While I appreciated Beastmasters in Necromunda I’m questioning these rats however. If that hood doesn’t scream Skaven to you then maybe these two other rats will:
Sure, sure — they aren’t wearing clothes or standing upright while wielding shanks. But…they are still giving off those same vibes. Maybe in some weird way these are Proto-Skaven? But it’s not like GW would ever cross those streams, right?
Where would a rat-pack of assassins even fit in the lore of Necromunda, right? It’s not like there was entire faction that used to be famous for getting around the tunnels of Necromunda or anything…
Regardless, these rats do look a little touched by Nurgle at the very least. And also experimented on. I wouldn’t want to tangle with them. Plus, if you see one rat, you can bet there’s more.
Yep. That’s right — even if you kill them they can come back for the next round at no cost to their “owners” — that must be nice. Plus they come with the Dodge skill so they are just extra pesky to take out, too.
“There are three individual Wasteland Giant Rat sculpts incoming to Necromunda – the multi-headed monstrosity that comes with a Beastmaster, and two more available in a booster pack for gangs who really want to drown their foes in a tide of rodents.”
These Rats (and the Beastmaster) are coming soon to Necromunda.
