‘Star Wars: The Acolyte’ First Trailer Unveils a Lethal Mystery for the Jedi
Star Wars: The Acolyte‘s first trailer shows The Jedi Order in its Golden Age facing an unknown rising darkness.
Set in the final days of the High Republic era, The Acolyte follows the rise of a darkness that stands against the Jedi Order at the height of its power. Something is killing off the Jedi one by one, and the Council’s investigation leads to darker and darker forces than any imagined.
Star Wars: The Acolyte Cast & Details
Amandla Stenberg leads the cast. She is joined by Abigail Thorn (Baldur’s Gate III), Manny Jacinto (Nine Perfect Strangers), Dafne Keen (His Dark Materials), Jodie Turner-Smith (Anne Boleyn), Rebecca Henderson (Inventing Anna), Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll), and Dean-Charles Chapman (Game of Thrones). Two of the biggest names are Carrie-Anne Moss, who we all know from The Matrix, and Lee Jung-Jae, the Emmy Award-winning star of Squid Game.
The showrunner and creator of the new series is Leslye Headland (Russian Doll).

The Acolyte debuts on Disney+ on June 4th.
