Warhammer Next Week: Orcs and Goblins Unleash WAAAGH!!! Upon the Old World
Green’s back on the menu, boyz, the Orcs and Goblins roll out into the Old World with next week’s pre-order releases.
Orcs (note the C, folks) are back in a big way next week, as Orcs & Goblins launch their Old World campaign to bring waaagh!!! to everyone what deserves it. Which is everyone. Because the Greenskins don’t do anything by half measures, there’s going to be an absolute horde of these miniatures rolling out.
But really, you wouldn’t want it any other way. Because the Orcs’ strength is their numbers. And their prodigious strength. Here’s a look at everything coming out for the Orcs & Goblins.
Orcs & Goblins In The Old World
It all kicks off with the big Orcs & Goblin Tribes boxed set. This one is massive: 73 new miniatures all in all. There are 31 Orc Boyz, a command set, 40 Goblins, and two Orc Boar Chariots. All ready to make Waaagh!!! upon the Old World with a variety of kits.
Leading them all, the Black Orc Bigboss. An imposing, iron-armored leader sculpted in Forge World resin on a big 30mm base.
Or take an Orc Warboss on Wyvern, also remastered in resin, ready to rain death from above upon your foes.
For those in need of both magic and impressive size, consider the Troll Hag, who is a Behemoth character that comes with her own unique Spell Lore.
Round out your leadership with Orc and Night Goblin Command Sets. The Orc Command set features an Orc Warboss with great weapon and Bigboss with battle standard, while the Night Goblin Command set features Night Goblin Warboss on Giant Cave Squig, Bigboss with Battlestandard, and Shaman who is just about as high as one can get.
Two classic kits are remastered in plastic: the Orc Bosses and Orc Boyz Mob, pictured above. The Orc Boyz Mob is the same as featured in the Orc & Goblin Tribes battlebox, while the Bosses come with a variety of options.
Returning in metal, are Orc Big ‘Uns, and the Big ‘Uns Command, as well as the Orc Shaman with Bone Staff.
While Night Goblin Bosses, Shamans, Goblin Bosses and Shamans, and Nasty Skulkers all return in glorious metal (with a set of plastic wolves). Or grab yourself 2 Trolls, 5 Badlands Ogre Bulls, Snotlings, or pick up heavy weapons with the Rock Lobber, Bolt Throw, or Doom Diver Catapult. Even pick up a Snotling Pump Wagon for good measure.
Real ones will remember the days of Giants putting people in their bags and tha was the end of them. While that might not be the case here, the Bonegrinder Giant and regular Giant are both back in Forge World Resin.
Finally, there’s the Arcane Journal: Orc & Goblin Tribes, which has all the new rules for using these miniatures.
All this, next week!
